The Queensland government introduced a number of updates to its prescribed rental application form on March 27, 2026. This form, originally introduced in May of 2026, has now been revised to reflect new requirements and improve the application process both for renters and property managers. The following fields will be added to the Financials page:
These details will be added to the Financials section when processing an application and will allow for automatic employment reference sending to be triggered.
The following question will be added to the Pets page:
Are there body-corporate by-laws, park rules or other laws about keeping pets at the premises?
This will be a question answered by the agent and will be a display only question in the Pets section of the application.
